Every placement

Forward Helix
The front of the upper ear, where the rim meets the face. Suits small studs, alone or in a row of two or three.
Rook
The fold of cartilage inside the upper ear, above the daith. A delicate spot for a small stud or a snug ring.
Flat
The flat area of the upper cartilage, between the rim and the inner folds. A wide surface that takes a composition of several studs.
High Helix
The upper part of the outer rim. Suits rings and studs alike.
Anti-Conch
The upper inner cartilage, between the rook and the conch. A central point that sets off a single stud.
Daith
The innermost fold of cartilage, just above the ear canal. Especially suited to a ring.
Conch
The inner bowl of the ear. Suits a stud at its centre, or a ring that wraps the edge of the ear.
Low Helix
The lower part of the rim, above the lobe. Completes a row of studs along the ear.
Tragus
The small flap of cartilage at the front of the ear, facing the ear canal. Suits a small, close-fitting stud.
Stacked Lobe
A second piercing in the lobe, above the first. Lets two studs sit one above the other.
1st Lobe
The classic piercing, in the soft lower part of the ear. Where most ear designs begin.
